There is a large citadel situated in the center of Aleppo, which towers over the city and dates to the 12th century. I wasn't planning on a long excursion through the citadel, and didn't bring anything except my sunglasses, and after a couple minutes in the sun I was absolutely exhausted. I haven't sweated that much in a long time. I thought Greece was hot, but I realize now that I was very wrong.
